ORDINANCE NO. 19-73 · BY: Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, Usher, Wendling, Werner, Brockman, Graber AN ~MERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to employ by contract, the firm of McDonnell Proudfoot & Associates, Inc. as consulting engineers for the purpose of prepar- ing drawings, documents and specifiqations for the Clifton Boulevard traffic signal project. WHEREAS,'~his Council determines that it is desirable to provide improved traffic control signals on Clifton Boulevard, and, WHEREAS, this Council determine~ that it is necessary to employ the services of a consulting engineer in regard to this installation, and,. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure pro- viding for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed, to employ by contract the firm of McDonnelIProudfoot & Associates, Inc., 200 Colton Building, Toledo, Ohio 43624,~as consulting engineers for the purpose of furnishing drawings, documents and specifications for the Clifton Boulevard traffic signal project. The cost of these services will be based npon time and material, ~ot to exceed $12,270.00. Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
