That the Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Imkewood be and hereby is amended by enacting the following sections: <br /> <br /> 1126.01 RECREATIONAL EQUIP}~NT (BOSTS AND C~IP TRAILERS). <br /> Definitions. As used in this Chapter, recreational equipment is defined as <br />and shall include the following: <br /> (a) A travel trailer is a vehicular, portable structure built on a chassis, <br /> designed to be used as a temporary dwelling for travel, recreational <br /> and vacation uses, permanently .identified travel trailer by the <br /> manufacturer. <br /> (b) A pick-up camper is a structure designed primarily to be mounted on <br /> a pick-up or truck chassis and with sufficient equipment to render <br /> as suitable for use as a temporary dwelling for. travel, recreational <br /> and vacation uses. <br /> (c) A motor home is a portable dwelling designed and constructed as an <br /> integral part of self-propelled vehicle. <br /> (d) A folding tent trailer is a canvas folding structure, mounted on wheels <br /> and designed for travel and vacation use. <br /> {3) Boats. and boat trailers shall include boats, floats, rafts, and snow- <br /> mobiles, plus the normal'equipment to transport the same on the highway. <br /> <br /> ~126.02 PARKINGAND STORAGE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY - EQUIPMENT PROHIBITED, <br /> EXCEPTIONS. <br /> <br />" ~-person shall park or store~ o.r permit to be parked or stored~ r.ecreational eou <br />ment upon any lot or land designated as within the boundaries of a g~oup. 1 Residence <br />Class District except as herei~after provided. Any owner of recreational.equipment <br />may park or store such equipment not in excess of thirty-one (31) feet in overall <br /> % <br />length only on property where he is living in accordance with the following <br />conditions: <br /> (a) Recreational equipment parked or stored shall not have fixed connections <br /> to electricity, water, gas or sanitary sewer facilities, and at no time <br /> shall this equipment be used for living, storage, or housekeeping <br /> purposes in the City of Lakewood. <br /> (b) If the recreational equipment is parked or stored outside of a garage, <br /> it shall be parked or stored in the rear yard of the principal building <br /> except for the purpose of loading and unloading for a period not to <br /> exceed thirty-six (36.) consecutive hours. <br /> (c) All recreational equipment must be kept in good repair and ca[~y a <br /> current year's license plate and, registration. <br /> (d). No person shall make or cause to be made major repairS, alternations <br /> or conversions of recreational equipment unless such repair, alteration <br /> or conversion is done in a completely enclosed garage. Repairsof a <br /> major type are herein defined to includd, but not limited to spray <br /> painting, body, fender, clutch, transmission', differential, axle, <br /> plumbing, heating, spring and frame repairs, radiator repair, major <br /> overhauling of engines requiring the removal of engine cylinder head <br /> or crankcase pan or removing the n~otor, and conversion of any other <br /> type of motor vehicle to recreational equipment as herein defined. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
