(b) "llospJtal" means n genera] hos:pital, or a s'pc'cia] ho.~pit:al devoted to gynecology and obstetrics, which is accredited a~ a ho~pil:al by the Joint Commission on Accrc, ditation of llospJ, tals of the A,nerJcan Co]lege of Physicians, The American College of Stlr~(,ons, 'the Americnn llospital Association, and The American Hedicnl Association, or which is accredited as a hospLtal by The Accred~ ~ntion Committee of the Office of llospital Affairs of the American Os~e0pathic Association. Section 531.04 Severability The provisions of 'this chapter are hereby declared to be severable and if any provision, sentence, clause, section or part thereof is held illegal, invalid, unconstitutional or inapplicable to any perEon or circ,,m- stance, such illegality, invalidity, uncon,stitutionality or inapplicability shall not affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, sentences, clauses, sections or part of this chapter or their application to persons and circum- stances. Section 531.99 Penalty Any person, firm, corporation, association or partnership who violates tile provisions of this Chapter shall be fined not more than $1',000 or, if an individual, imprisoned not more than six months or both. Every day that such violation continues shall §onstitute a separate and distinct offense. Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and providing it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of ali. members e].ected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
