Chinnock, Graber, <br /> '~- McBride, Sinagra, Usher~ <br /> <br />Magnotto, <br />Brockman <br /> <br /> 'AN Eb~RGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor to <br />employ by contract the firm of The Walter H. Drane Co. for the purpose of <br />recodifying and printing the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances <br />of.the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to recodify the General Offenses Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to conform to the new Ohio <br />Criminal Code, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines the necessity to employ the services <br />of The Walter H. Drane Co. to complete such codification and printing, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure proViding <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to employ by contract the firm of The Walter H. Drane Co. for the purpose of <br />codifying and printing the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of Lakewood, said contract to provide for a fee of $2,800.00, and to <br />be in substantially the following form: <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> An agreement entered into bet~veen the Municipality of Lakewood, <br />Ohio, hereinafter called the Municipality, and The Waiter H. Drane Company, <br />an Ohio corporation, hereinafter called the Contractor. <br /> <br /> · WHEREAS, the Municipality desires to re¢odify its General Offenses Code to <br />conform to amended House Bill 511 (the new Ohio Criminal Code), and to include <br />local provisions enacted to date, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Contractor is skilled in codification and ordinance_indexing and <br />editing, and is organized to render such services. <br /> <br /> NOW, THERE FORE, in consideration of theiR' mutual promises and covenants, <br />the parties agree: <br /> <br />A. 'The Contractor. shall render the Municipality the following services: <br /> 1.. Codify, edit and index a component code to be known as Part Five -General <br /> Offenses Code to conform to the new Ohio Criminal Code. <br /> 2. Examine and review the provisions contained in the present General Offenses <br /> Code to ascertain material suitable for codification and which will not conflict <br /> with current State law. <br /> 8. Screen all subsequent amendments enacted by Council to date. <br /> 4. Confer with the Law Director or Solicitor to submit suggestions as to <br /> deletions, modifications and additions to the current ordinance material <br /> to conform to the current statutes of the State of Ohio. <br /> 5. Print and deliver to the Municipality sufficient copies of the component <br /> code, with a separate index thereto, to equal the original printing, in a <br /> form and style similar to the present Codified Ordinances. (200 copies for <br /> the Codified Ordinances and ! 00 extra copies for the Police books) <br /> B. The Municipality shall pay the Contractor $2800.00 for its services rendered in <br /> Part A, payable within ten days ,after receipt of the printed component codes. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WIIEREOF, the parties have set their hands thc day and date below-written. <br /> <br />SIC, NA I t <br /> <br /> <br />
