In the event a member's customary day' off falls on any of said holidays, <br />such member shall be given a day off in licu of the holiday. In all <br />such cases the date of such day or hours off duty shall be designated <br />by the Chief of Police so as to cause minimum interference with customary <br />and normal operation of the Division. <br /> <br />Section 137.04 HOLIDAYS <br /> <br /> Members of the Division of Fire shall be granted as holidays New Year's <br /> Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, <br /> Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Member's Birthday in the <br /> calendar year 1974 and each succeeding calendar year thereafter. Members <br /> may be required to work o.n the foregoing named holidays provided, however <br /> that in the event any member is required to work on any such holiday <br /> such member shall be granted a day off, in lieu of such holiday. In <br /> the event any member is off duty on any such holiday for any reason <br /> other than sick leave or unexcused absence, such member shall be granted <br /> a day off, in lieu of such holiday. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor and <br />existing Sections 135.02 and 137.04 adopted Fe~m~ary 1, l~?3,.shall be and the same <br />are hereby repealed. ~// O' t~/i}.~~.///,,/ ~ <br /> President <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
