ORDINANCE NO. 18-74 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Graber, Magnotto, McBride, Sinagra, <br /> Usher, Brockman, Chinnock <br /> <br /> AN EbU~RGENCY ORDINANCE to provide allowance of cost of transportation <br />~to employees of the City, commencing March 1, 1974. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure~providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />of public service, welfare and safety it is desirable to provide an allowance <br />of cost of transportation to employees of the city; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Conm~encing March 1, 1974, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ~ordinance, there shall be paid the <br />sum of $80°00 per month to the individual employees holding the positions <br />hereinafter designated, and who are not furnished with city-owned vehicles for <br />use in the performance of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />A) Building Cormnissioner and Building Inspectors; <br />B) Visiting nurses, in the-Division of Health; <br />C) Sanitary Officers in the Division of Health <br />D) Sidewalk Inspectors, while devoting time to <br /> inspection of sidewalks, and <br /> Health Connmisstoner in the Division of Health <br /> <br />~) <br />~) <br /> <br />PI onning Director <br /> <br /> Section 2. Commencing March 1, 1974, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid to <br />those employees of the City who are required to use their personal automobile <br />in carrying out their duties on behalf of the City of Lakewood, other than <br />those City employees set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance, a mileage <br />allowance of $0.12 per mile; provided however that such personal car use shall <br />be approved by the appropriate department head and provided further that, When <br />applicable, such allowance shall not exceed the cost of round trip coach air <br />fare for such trip, <br /> <br /> Section 3. Tha~ khis Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor and Ordinance 75-69 adopted November 17., l?~z~ and all other Ordinances or <br />parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shal~e~nd the~me/~re hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: /~.~/q~,/~/ ',..~k~.. ~..'.Ii ~ ~ L'~,~' <br /> President <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
