<br />Section 2. In the Division of Fire, Department of PubLic Saf.ety, Group 1
<br />Firemen shall consist of firemen who have continuously served in the Division
<br />of Fire two (2) full years or wl~o, in the judgment o[ the Director of Public
<br />Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired experience in the
<br />Division of Fire in some other city. Group 2 Firemen shall consist of
<br />firemen who have served continuously in the Div'ision of Fire for more than
<br />one (1) year but less than two (2) years. Group 3 firemen shall consist of
<br />firemen who have served in the Division of Fire for less tl~an one (1) year.
<br />Provided, however, that there shall he no increase in salary to a fireman by
<br />reason of said grouping until certified 'by the Director of Public Safety.

<br />Section 3. In the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, Group 1
<br />patrolmen shall consist of patrolmen who have continuously served in the
<br />Division of Police two (2) full years or who, in tl~e judgment of thc Director
<br />of Public Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired experience
<br />in the Divisionof Police in some other city. Group 2 patrolmen shall consist
<br />of patrolmen who have served continuously in the Division of Police for ~nore
<br />than one (1) year but less than two (2) years. Group 3 patrolmen shall con-
<br />sist of patrolmen who have served in the Division of Police for less than
<br />one (1) year. Pgovided, however, that thcreshall bc no inc{~easc in salary
<br />to any employee by reason of the said grouping until certified by the Direct~
<br />of Public Safety.

<br />Section 4. Salary of the Director of La,~ shall cover all ordinary services,
<br />including legal advice and opinions as req~ested hy Council, the Mayor, and
<br />various departments, the drafting of ordinances and resolutions, attendance
<br />at Council meetings and-the administration and supervision of the Law Department.
<br />The Law Directors and Prosecutors shall receive additional professional fee~
<br />for thc handling of any litigation involving the City of Lakewood, or other
<br />extraordinary services, such fees not to exceed the minimum ['ees prescribed
<br />by the minimum fee schedule of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association. ~
<br />
<br />Section 5. Wtienever the 'Ierm "Class A," "CLass B," "(;1. ass C," Class D," "Class E,"
<br />and "Class I".," is used in this ordinance, such classification shall be
<br />determined and fixed by the appointing authority.
<br />
<br />Section 6. All compensation provided for herein shall be paid in equal
<br />installments every two (2) weeks.
