On call-onts, when an employee is asked to report before the normal starting time dnring a standard work week, he shall be compensated at an additional rate of $.50 per hour up to a maximum of 10 hours in any 24-hour period. Section 3. An employee holding a position in any of the above classifications may from time to time be assigned to work in a higher classification, and such employee shall receive fo~~ such temporary work the compensation provided herein for such higher classification. Such additional compensation shall not be paid to Building Haintenance Men, whose hourly rate includes perform- ance of all work assigned.- Section 4. ~mnever the terms "Class A,' "Class B" and "Class C" are used in this ordinance, such classifications shall be determined by the appointing authority on th'e basis of experience and performance. Section 5. The Director of Public Works may appoint such additional hourly employees in the several divisions as may be required £rom time to time on a temporary basis, at the rate of compensation fixed herein for said classifica- tion. Provided, however, that such temporary employees provided for herein, shall be classed as temporary and shall not be eligible for the benefits provided in Sections 149.01 to 149.08, both inclusive, of the Codified Ordi- nances, for full-time permanent hourly employees. Section 6. Ail compensation provided for herein shall be paid in equal install- merits every two weeks. Section 7. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided, it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force i~ediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 8-73 adopted February 1, 1973 and Ordinance 13-74 adopted February 19~ 1974, and all other ordin~ or parts of ~d~ances are hereby d. inc0nsist~nt herewith shall be and Adopted: ~~J~ '/~1/~ '" ~ - President
