2 - <br /> <br />(d) <br />(e) <br /> <br />For each taxicab employed ~,pon a, hourly rate $6.00 per ho,r. <br />In addition to the above rates, five cents (5~.) may be added for the <br />first one-~ixth mile or fraction thereof, for each five cent (5~) <br />i.creasc in the cost of gasoline for taxicabs, above forty cents <br />(40~) per gallon. <br /> <br />For waiting time, as hereinafter defined, charges may be made at' <br />the rate of .at less tha~ $4.20 per hour nor more thn. $6.00 per <br />hour. Waiting time is deemed to include the ti. me when tile taxicab <br />is not in motion, beginning at tile place of arrival to which it has <br />been called, or the time consumed while standing at the direction of <br />the passenger. No charge shall be made for time lost because of tile <br />inefficiency of the taxi. cab or its operator, or for time consumed by <br />premature response to the passenger's order. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Ilourly a,d Flat Rate. Taxicab may accept employment whereby the fare is <br />to be computed on an bourl:y rental basis or upon a flat rate of one dollar <br />and forty cents ($1.40) for any fide within the city. A charge of 25~ <br />may be made for each additional passenger. <br /> <br />Five cents (.05t) may be added to the flat rate of o,e dollar and <br />forty cents for any ride within the City, for each five cent (.05~) <br />increase in the cost ,of gasoline for taxicabs, above forty cents <br />(.40~) per gallon. <br /> <br />Taxicabs emp]oyed on the hourly basis shall operate wi. thin the city <br />upon the following schedule of rates; not less titan $4.20 per hour or <br />fraction thereof for the first hour, nor more the. $6.00 per hour, <br />provided that charges for use in excess of o.e hour sha]l be on tile <br />basis of one-sixth of an hour fractions of the rate charged for-the <br />1st full hour. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
