Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, <br /> Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto, McBride <br /> <br />AN EbIERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section .[35.11 of tile Administrative Code <br />.of the Codified Ordinances of_- the City of Lakewood providing for payment <br />of overtime services for, members .of the Division of Police, other than the <br />Chief of the Division of Police. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY 'I]IE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I~KEWOOD, STATE OF OIttO: <br /> <br />Section 1. 'float Section 135.11 of the Administrative Code of tile Codified <br />Ordinanaes of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />135.11 Overtime Compensation. <br /> <br />In the event it is necessary for a member of thc Division of <br />Police to remain on duty beyond his regular working hours or it <br />is necessary ~o call back to duty a member of the Division of <br />Police or a member of the Division of Police devotes off-duty <br />time attending school or member of the Division o[ Police, <br />other than tile Chief. of the Division in the form of'compensatory <br />time off as hereinafter provided: <br /> <br />ia) For overtime services resulting from remaining on duty, <br /> compensatory time off shall be computed as regular time. <br /> <br />For overtime services resulting from call back to duty <br />or devoting off--duty time attending school or police <br />training courses at the City's request or dlrecti, on. <br />compensatory time off shall be computed at one and one,- <br />half times tile overtime actually incurred. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />All compensation in the form of compensatory time off <br />shall be subject to tile approval of the Director' of <br />Public Safety. <br /> <br />be and t-he same is hereby amended, effective February 6, 1975, to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />] 3 5.1 1 Overt'i_me (~ompm~,'¢at i ()n <br /> <br />ia) <br /> <br />In the event iL is necessary for a member ()f thc Division of <br />Police to remain on duty beyond his regal, ar working hours or <br />it is necessary to call back to duty a memb'cr of the Division <br />of Police or a m¢mber of the Division of ~Police devotes off- <br />duty time attending school or Police training courses at thc <br />City's request or direction', suci~ member of the Divis:Lon of <br />Police, other than the Chief of thc Division of Poll. ce, sl~all <br />be entitled to compensation .for such overtime services in thc <br />form of compenaatory time off computed at one and one-half times <br />the overtime actually incurred. <br /> <br />A'11 compensation in the form of cor.~pen,~;atot:y time, off :~hal.
