ORDINANCE NO. 34-75 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs? Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, <br />Sinagra,~,i~i,~ Brockman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Paragraph (b) of Section 149.15 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating <br />to payment by the City of Lake~ood of certain sums toward hospitalization coverage <br />for members of the Division of Fire of the City~ commencing May 1, 1975. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines it to be in the best interest of the <br />City to provide for continued participation in the medical and hospitalization <br />protection plans for members of the Division of Fire and to pay up to $54.51 per <br />month toward hospitilization cost for said members, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Paragraph (b) of Section 149.15 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified OrdinanCes of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.15 CITY'S SHARE OF HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Direct~ of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out of City <br />funds up to $52,33 per month toWard hospitalization coverage for <br />each member of the Division of Fire, payable m~nthly or semiannually <br />at the discretion of the Director of Finance, to apply on actual <br />premium, or in cash where the member is not enrolled in the City <br />Hospitalization plan. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.15 CITY'S SHARE OF HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out of City <br />funds up to $54.51 per month toward hospitalization coverage for <br />each member of the Division of Fire, payable monthly or semiannually <br />at the discretion of the Director of Finance, to apply on actual <br />premium, or in cash where the member is not enrolled in the City <br />Hospitalization plan. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The hospitaliZation coverage for members of the Division of <br />Fire provided for in the within Ordinance shall be for that coverage commencing : <br />May 1, 1975 <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately-upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor and <br />existing Paragraph (b) of Section 149.15 adopted February 18, 1975 shall be and the <br />same is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
