ORDINANCE NO. 14-76 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating the position and fixing compensation <br />for school traffic guards cormnencing March 1, 1976. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />of public service, welfare and safety it is necessary to create the position <br />and fix the compensation for school traffic guards; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The position of school traffic guard is hereby created <br />and the compensation for all persons employed as school traffic guards is <br />hereby established as follows, commencing March 1, 1976: <br /> <br />(a) Employees with less than one year of continuous service as <br /> school traffic guards: <br /> <br />(1) For performance of duty for both the morning and afternoon <br /> sessions during the regular school year -- $9.25 per day. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />For performance of duty for only the morning session or <br />the afternoon session during the regular school year in <br />any one day -- $4..50 per day. <br /> <br />(3) For performance of duty for the sessions during summer <br /> play school in any one day -- $5.75 per day. <br /> <br />(b) Employees with one or more years of continuous service as school <br /> traffic guards: <br /> <br />(1) For performance of duty for both the morning and afternoon <br /> sessions during the regular school year -- $11.25 per day. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />For performance of duty for only.the morning session or <br />the afternoon session during the regular school year in <br />any one day -- $5.50 per day. <br /> <br />(3) For performance of duty for the sessions during summer <br /> play school in any one day -- $6.75 per day. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Ail compensation provided for herein shall be paid in equal <br />installments every two weeks. <br /> <br /> ~ Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br /> <br />Mayor, and Ordinance No. 52-74 adopted June 3, <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Approved: 7/~~ ~ /q.~.~ <br /> <br />1974~1 be and the same is <br /> <br /> <br />
