ORDINANCE NO. 37-76 BY: Messrs. McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto AN EMfERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Paragraph (c) of Section 149.07 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to longevity compensation for members of the Division of Police of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That paragraph (c) of SectiOn 149.07 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: Section 149.07 LONGEVITY COMPENSATION (c) Division of Police. Full-time permanent members of the Division of Police shall be paid semi-annually, in the months of June and December, in addition to such salary or compensation that may be provided by any other ordinance, additional compensation based on the number of continuous full years of service, including interim military service, as determined on the dates of June 15 and December 15 of' each year, computed in accordance with the following semi-annual rate schedule: (1) For five years through nine years of service ........... $100.00 (2) For ten years through fourteen years of service ........ $125.00 (3) For fifteen years through nineteen years of service .... $150.00 (4) For twenty years or more ............................... $175.00 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 149.07 LONGEVITY COMPENSATION (c) Division of Police. Full-time permanent members of the Division of Police shall be paid semiannually, in the months of June and December, in addition to such salary or compensation that may be provided by any other ordinance, additional compensation based on 'the number of continuous full years of service, including interim military service, as determined on the dates of June 15 and December 15 of each year, computed in accordance with the following semi-annual rate schedule: (1) For five years through nine years of service ........... $100.00 (2) For ten years through fourteen years of service ........ $125.00 (3) For fifteen years through nineteen years of service .... $225.00 (4) For twenty years or more ............................... $275.00 Section 2.
