be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />151.02 PAYMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF CLAIMS OF $300 OR LESS <br /> <br />The Director of Finance, upon approval of the compromise and settlement <br />of any such action, cause of action, claim or demand against the City <br />for the sum of three hundred dollars {$300..00) or less by the Mayor, <br />the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council and the Director of <br />Law is hereby authorized and directed to pay the amoun~'.'po approved,. <br />upon obtaining satisfactory release, and charge the amount to the <br />proper fund. The Director of Finance ~is hereby authorfzed and directed <br />to accept payment of any such claim in favor of the City amounting to <br />the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) or less upon the approval <br />of such settlement, adjustment and compromise thereof by the Mayor, <br />chairman of the Finance Committee of Council and the Director of Law, <br />to execute proper receipt or release therefor and to credit any such <br />amount to the proper fund. <br /> <br /> ~ Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons Stated in the preamble hereof and ProVided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of tworthirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law, and existing Sections 151.01 and 151.02 of Chapter 151 of <br /> <br />said Code shall be and the same are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: · / ? ?.3 <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
