<br />SECTION 503.01 DEFINITIONS
<br />
<br />As used in this ordinance:
<br />
<br />1. "Anesthetic" mean.-, a dru~;, ga.q or other agent used to abolish the sensation
<br />of pain. There are three (3) classifications as follows:

<br />usage the term appl ie.q to m,r~;o.~ ami lay l).r~on~ who have had .~pecial training and
<br />experience u.der medical a.splces in the administration of anesthetics.

<br />5. "Conception" means the tn{ion of tire male sperm and the female ovum.
<br />
<br />6. "Department" meaus the Department of llealth of the City of Lakewood, Ohio.
<br />
<br />7. "Director" means the Dlrector ~f the Department of Ilealth of the City o,f Lakewood,Ol'

<br />8. "Freestanding surgical outpatie,~t facility" or "facility" means an establishment
<br />offering any type of m.rgtcnl procedures ;md re.la,ed care'which in tim opinion of the
<br />attending physicia, cnn'f), p~'rformed safely without req.iring inpatient overnight
<br />hospital care and exclusive i,f re,ch s.rgical and relnte(I care as licensed physicians
<br />ordinarily may elect to perform tn their private offices.
<br />
<br />9. "llealth" means phys'lcal or mental health.
<br />
<br />10. "llospital" means a general hospital or specialized hospital devoted to gynecology
<br />or obstetrics which is accredited by the American College of Phy,qi('mns, the American
<br />College of Surp. ecm;;, th,, Am(..ri('n. II(.;l)il;rl A::~-t-lallo., ~r the Amertc.'ln M('(licnl
<br />Ann()cintion, or which I.,; accredited by the Office of Ilospital Affairs of the American

<br />11. "Nurse" means a person
