ORDINANCE NO.: 66-77 BY: [iessrs. Chinnock, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, <br /> Usher, Brockman <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to employ by contract tile firm of Adache-Ciuni-Lynn & Associates <br />to provide pFofessional engineering services in the resurfacing of Hilliard, <br />Franklin Boulevard from Riverside Drive to W. ll7th, which services shall include <br />the preparation of .construction plans and s~ecifications, supplying a part-time <br />inspector for the construction phase and part-time project manager for periodic <br />inspections at the site. <br /> <br /> WI{EREAS, this Council by Ordinance No. 49-77, authorized the Mayor <br />to enter into an Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners to <br />resurface Hi lliard-Franklin Boulevard from Riverside Drive to West l l7th Street <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the terms of this Agreement, the City is required to <br />provide the necessary construction plans and specifications, 50% of the cost <br />to be reimburs'able, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the immediate <br />preservation of the public safety and welfare in that there should be no delay <br />in preparing the plans and specifications, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE COUNCIL OF TttE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to employ by contract tile engineering firm of Adache- <br />Ciuni-Lynn & Associates. Inc., 6325 York Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44130, as the <br />consulting engineer for tile purpose of providing professional engineering <br />services in the resurfacing of Ililliard-Franklin Boulevard from Riverside Drive <br />to W. ll7th, which services shall include the preparation of construction plans <br />and specifications, supplying a part-time inspector for the construction phase <br />and part-llime project manager for periodic inspections at the site. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the necessary funds for these fees will be provided <br />by the Street Construction, Maintenance and Repair Fund with 50% of this amount <br />eligible for reimbursement. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is herehy declared to I)e all emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated il~ the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affi.rmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be i'h force immedfately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
