ORDINANCE NO. ! 03- 78 BY: <br /> <br />Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, <br />Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, <br />Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Sections 911.02 and 911.03 of the <br />Streets and Public Services Code of the CodifiedOrdinances of the City of <br />Lakewood relating to charges for use of the Lakewood incinerator. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health and welfare and for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF LaJfEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO:. <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 911.02 of the Streets and Public Services <br />Code of the C~difiedOrdinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />911.02 CHARGES. <br /> <br /> Residents of the CitY who bring refuse, garbage and other <br />materials, arising out of the use of their places of residence, to <br />the Lakewood incinerator in their own vehicles may make use of the <br />incirerator without charge. A charge of seven dollars and fifty <br />cents ($7.50) per ton shall be made for all materials brought to <br />the incinerator by or on behalf of contractors and commercial <br />establishments. However, the min~zmlm charge for any one such load <br />shall be two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50). <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />911.02 CHARGES. <br /> <br /> (a) Residents of the City and owners of businesses situated <br />in the City who bring refuse, garbage m~d other waste materials <br />arising out of the use of their places of residence or business, <br />to the Lakewood incinerator in their o~m vehicles may make use of <br />the incinerator without charge. <br /> <br /> (b) A charge shall be made for all materials brought to the <br />incinerator by, for or on behalf of contractors and con~nercial <br />hamlets as follows: minimum fee Of Two Dollars and Fifty Cents <br />($2.50) for up to 600 pounds plus 50¢ for each additional 100 <br />pounds or fraction thereof. <br /> <br /> (c) No refuse, garbage or other waste material arising out <br />of the use of premises located outside of the City shall be <br />accepted at the Lakewood incinerator. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Section 911.03 of the Streets and Public Services <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />911.03 BRUSH INCINERATOR CHARGES. <br /> <br /> (a) Residents of the City who bring wood or wood materials <br />arising out of the use of their places of residence, to the Lakewood <br />brush incinerator in their own vehicles (not to exceed one and one- <br />half tons empty) may make use of the brush incinerator without charge. <br /> <br /> (b) A charge shall be made to all others for all wood or wood <br />materials brought to the brush incinerator at a rate fixed by the <br />Director of Public Works in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> <br />~inimum charge <br />Single axle truck up to 4 tons empty <br />Single axle truck over 4 tons empty <br />Tandem truck up to 8 tons empty <br />Tandem truck over 8 tons empty <br /> <br />$ 2.50 to $ 5.00 <br />$ 5.00 to $10.00 <br />$10.00 to $15.00 <br />$15.00 to $20.00 <br />$20.00 to $25.00 <br /> <br /> <br />
