ORDINANCE NO. 57-78 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Brown, Chinnock, <br />Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, <br />Brockman <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 351.99(c) and enact a new <br />Paragraph (d) to said Section of the Traffic Code of the Codiff. ed <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide for an increase in the <br />fine for.violation of "Snow Ban" parking. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best <br />interest of the City to increase the waiver fee for a violation of <br />"Snow Ban" parking from $5.00 to $10.00 and the late payment of same <br />from $10.00 to $15.00, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, our present supply of tickets will be expended prior <br />to November, 1978 and action should be taken on the within proposal <br />at this time; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That existing Paragraph (c) of Section 351.99 <br />of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood <br />now reading as follows: <br /> <br />351.99 PENALTY AND WAIVER <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Whoever violates Sections 351.01 through 351.18., <br />Section 351.20(b) or (c), Section 351.23 or Section <br />351.27 may, in lieu of the other penalties provided <br />for the violation of such sections and upon signing <br />a waiver, be fined five dollars ($5.00) if such <br />violator pays such fine at the Traffic Bureau, in <br />person or by mail, within forty-eight hours, or <br />if not within forty-eight hours , then in the sum <br />of ten dollars ($10.00) if such violator pays such <br />amount at the Traffic Bureau, in person or by mail <br />within seventy-two hours from the time of violation. <br />In the event such violator does not pay the fine <br />as hereinbefore provided, then a warrant shall be <br />issued and such violator shall be subject to the <br />penalties otherwise provided for the violation of <br />such provisions. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />351.99 PENALTY AND WAIVER <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Whoever violates Sections 351.01 through 351.18, <br />Section 351.20(b) or (c) or Section 351.23~may, <br />in lieu of the other penalties provided for the <br />violation of such section and upon signing <br />a waiver, be fined five dollars ($5.00) if such <br />violator pays such fine at the Traffic Bureau, in <br />person or by mail, within forty-eight .hours, or <br />if not ~ithin forty-eight hours, then in the sum of <br />ten dollars ($10.00) if such violator pays such <br />amount at the Traffic Bureau, in person or by mail <br />within seventy-two hours from the time of violation. <br />In the event such violator does not pay the fine <br />as hereinbefore provided, then a warrant shall be <br />issued and such violator shall be subject to the <br />penalties otherwise provided for the violation of such <br />provisions. <br /> <br /> <br />
