1309.09 COMBINATION PERMIT FEE <br /> <br />Notwithstanding any other provisions of this ordinance, a home owner <br />who occupies the'premises wherein the work is to beperform~dmay <br />obtain a combination permit fee to cover all or any alterations, <br />remodeling, plumbing, electrical or heating work, provided that the <br />value of such work shall not exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00) <br />in total. <br /> <br />$ 3.00 <br /> <br />1309.10 ADDITIONAL INSPECTION FEES <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />· ~.~enever an inspection has been requested and the work is <br />found to be incon~plete or in need of corrections, there <br />shall be charged a fee in the amount of Ten Dollars ($10.00) <br />for each subsequent reinspection. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Whenever a special inspection - not a routine inspection of <br />work being done under a permit - is requested, there shall <br />be charged an inspection fee in the amount of Ten Dollars <br />($10.00). <br /> <br />c) Items a) and b) above shall not be applicable to Home Owner <br /> permits. <br /> <br />1309.11 <br /> <br /> a) <br /> <br /> OCCUPANCY PERMITS <br /> <br />For any inspection made for the issuance of a-Certificate of <br />Occupancy, there shall be charged a fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00). <br /> <br />1309.12 REFUSAL TO ISSUE PERMIT: APPEAL <br /> <br /> The Building Official may deny any applicant a permit who has outstanding <br />violations that have not been corrected as of the date an additional permit is <br />requested, or if past performance indicates a pattern of non-compliance with an <br />applicable bUilding ordinance. In the event the application for a permit is <br />denied, the applicant shall be notified of such refUSal in writing, and such <br />notice shall be sent by certified mail to the applicant at the address of-the <br />appIicant, as set forth in the application for a permit. %he applicant shall <br />have ten (10) days after receipt of such notice within which to appeal the <br />refusal. Such appeal shall be perfected by filing a written Notice of Appeal <br />with the Director of Public Safety. Thereupon the applicant shall have not less <br />than ten (10) days nOtice of the date and place of the hearing. 5he appeal shall <br />be heard by the Board of Building and Foning Code Appeals or by the Board of Building <br />Standards if such is existing at the tim~ of the refusal by the Building Official. <br />5he Board shall have the pov~r after such hearing to confirm the refusal or order <br />the permit to be issued. <br /> <br />1309.13 AGGRE~tRE FLOOR AREA <br /> <br /> For the purposes of this ordinance, the aggregate floor area shall be the <br />sum of the gross horizontal areas at the several floors, including basen~nts, <br />cellars, and attics that are at least fifty percent (50%) habitable. Ail <br />horizontal dimensions shall be taken from the exterior faces of walls, inclining <br />enclosed porches. <br /> <br />1309 . 14 COST ESTIMATES <br /> <br /> Where the permit is based upon cost of the work done under the permit, such <br />costs shall be the actual cost as certified by the owner or authorized representative <br />of the owner, and as approved by tJ~e Building Inspector. The Building Inspector <br />may, at any time up to three months after the completion of the work, require the <br />submission of authoritative estimates or actual cost data to substantiate the <br />estimated cost stated in the application, and require the payment of additional <br />fees when it is demonstrated that the actual cost of the work is in excess of <br />the~ estimated cost upon which permit fees v~re based. <br /> <br /> <br />
