-2- <br /> <br />or harborer is otherwise est'ablished, notice shall be given prior <br />to or on the next working day to such owner or harborer that the <br />dog has been impounded. Notice may be by telephone or by <br />residence service to the last known address of such owner or <br />harborer. The dog shall not be released except upon the payment <br />of the following charges: for impounding any dog, three dollars <br />($3.00); for giving notice, three dollars ($3.00); for keeping <br />any dog, four dollars ($4.00) per day. Any dog not rede~z.~d by <br />the next working day after notice, as herein provided, is given <br />to the owner or harborer, or the next working day following- the <br />date it is seized or impounded if the owner or harborer cannot <br />be found, may be sold or otherwise disposed of as provided in <br />Ohio Revised Code Section 955.16. <br /> <br /> (b) If the impounded cat is wearing an identification tag <br />or the identity of the owner or harborer is otherwise established, <br />notice shall be given within two days to such onwer or harborer that <br />the cat has been impounded. Notice may be by telephone or by <br />residence service to the last known address of such owner or <br />harborer. The cat shall not be released except upon the payment <br />of the following charges: for impounding any cat, three dollars <br />($3.00); for keeping any cat three dollars ($3.00) per day. Any <br />cat not redeemed within three days after notice is given to the <br />owner or harborer as provided herein, or within three days of <br />the time such cat is seized or impounded, if the owner or <br />harborer cannot be found, may be sold or otherwise disposed of <br />in a humane manner as shall be determined by the animal warden. <br /> <br /> (c) A record of all dogs and cats ~mpounded, the disposition <br />of the same, the owner's name and address, if known, and a statement <br />of any costs or receipts involving such dog or cat shall be kept. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons, stated in 'the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force inraediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it Shall take effect and be <br />in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law and existing <br />Section 505.02 adopted November 8, 1978 shall be and the same is hereby <br /> <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted:. <br /> <br /> pproved' <br /> <br /> <br />
