ORDINANCE NO. 2'79 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, Wendling, Brockman AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE providing for the distri'bution of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, 1978, and to establish rate charges for same. WHEREAS, we have recently recodified'the ordinances of the City of Lakewood and provision should 5e made ~for the distribution of same as well as establishing rate charges therefore, and WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. The Clerk of 'Council shall deliver one complete code in binder, including the .Charter, to the Mayor, one to the Judge and Clerk of the Municipal Court of Lakewood, one to each member_of Council,.one to t'he head of each depa'rt- ment or~divisi'on of the City, one to the L.akewood Public Library and Madison branch, one to the Lakewood Board. of Education, one to the Juvenile Court of Cuyahoga County, and a complete code or such component parts of said code to the employees in each department or division of the City of Lakewood as may be nec- essary for the daily operation of such departments or divisions of the City. Section 2. The Clerk of CoUncil shall have authority to exchange copies of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, 1978, with mun'cipalities extending like courtesy to the City of Lakewood. Section 3. The Clerk of Council shall have authority to sell a copy of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, including the amended Charter, or a copy of the amended Charter separate]y, at the following rates: a. Complete codification in heavy paper cover b. The Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood $35.00 3.00 Section 4. The Clerk of Council shall distribute periodically the amendments and supplements to the Codified Ordinances. Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure fOr the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor., and Ordinance No. 46-68 shall be and the same is hereby repealed.
