ORDINANCE NO. 7-79 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> Brockman <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, as Ex-Officio <br />Director of Public Works, to employ by contract the firm of Watermation, <br />Inc. as consulting engineers for the purpose of preparing construction <br />drawings, contract documents, and specifications for the following storm <br />relief sewer projects: <br /> <br />1. Thrush, Lark and Quail Avenues <br /> <br />2. Warren Road and St. Charles Avenue <br /> <br />3. Webb Road <br /> <br /> WHER~EAS, this Council determines that it is necessary to provide <br />storm relief sewers in the following areas of the City of Lakewood, namely: <br /> <br />1. Thrush, Lark and Quail Avenues <br />2. Warren Road and St. Charles Avenue <br />3. Webb Road <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is necessary to employ <br />the services of a consulting engineer in regard to the Construction of such <br />relief sewers, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as. Ex-Officio Director Of Public Works, <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to employ bY contract the firm <br />of Watermation, Inc., 2304 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, as <br />Consulting Engineers for the purpose.Of furnishing all engineering and <br />drafting services for the design of the above-mentioned relief sewer projects <br />including any necessary field surveys, the preparation Of detailed construction <br />plans and specifications, estimation of construction costs, and drafting of <br />contract documents which are complete and suitable for obtaining construction <br />bids. <br /> <br /> Section 2o That the cost of such engineering and drafting services <br />shall not exceed $56,000.00 which funds are to be made available from the <br />Waste Water Sewer Facilities Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3o That this Ordinance is hereby declJred to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, and it <br />shall take effect and be enforced immediately upon its adoption and approval <br />by the Mayor. otherwise, it shall take effect and be enforced from and after <br />the earliest period allowed by Law. <br /> <br />Adopted: jLt <br /> ? <br /> / <br /> <br />Approved: .~,ccc~c..t..,~ , f., /.y,~ ? <br /> <br /> <br />
