ORDINANCE NO. 38-79 BY: Salmon, Wendling, Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to enact new Section 149.112 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide for a perfect attendance bonus. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood be and the same is hereby supplemented by enacting new Section 149.112 thereof to read as follows: 149.112 PERFECT ATTENDANCE BONUS All full-time, permanent, hourly employees who are members of the Collective Bargaining Unit who complete one year with perfect attendance (no days absent for any reason whatsoever) shall be entitled to receive a bonus of $300.00. In 1979, the period for Computing this bonus shall be from March 1 to December 31, thereafter it shall be computed on a calendar year basis (January 1 to December 31). Vacations, holidays, funeral leave, military leave, jury duty/witness leave and union leave shall not be counted as days absent. Personal leave, sick leave and sick leave without pay shall be counted as days absent. Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected 'to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect at the earliest period provided by law.
