ORDINANCE NO. 79-79 BY: <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and fixing salaries <br />for the position of Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Director of Finance, <br />Assistant Prosecutor and Director of Public Works - Superintendent of <br />Streets and repealing all sections of ordinances inconsistent herewith, <br />effective December ], 1979. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance consitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The position of Executive Assistant to the Mayor is hereby <br />created and the compensation hereby established in the Office of the Mayor, <br />effective December 1, 1979. <br /> <br />I. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> <br />A. MAYOR'S OFFICE <br /> <br />Executive Assistant to the Mayor <br /> <br />$ 24,000 - 27,000 <br /> <br /> Section 2. The position of Finance Director is hereby created and <br />the compensation hereby established in the Department of Finance, effective <br />December 1, 1979. <br /> <br />III. DEPARTMENT OF FINA~NCE <br /> <br />Director of Finance <br /> <br />$ 25,000 - 28,500 <br /> <br /> Section 3. The position of Assistant Prosecutor is hereby created <br />and the compensation hereby established in the Department of Law, effective <br />December 1, 1979. <br /> <br />IV. DEPARTMENT OF LAW <br /> <br />Assistant Prosecutor <br /> <br />$ 10,000 - 12,000 <br /> <br /> Section 4. The position of Director of Public Works - Superintendent <br />of Streets is hereby created and the compensation hereby established in the <br />Department of Public Works, effective December 1, 1979. <br /> <br />II. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />C. DIVISION OF STREETS~ SEWERS AND SIDEWALKS <br /> <br />Director of Public Works - Superintendent <br /> of Streets $ 25,000 - 30,000 <br /> <br /> Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor, otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by la~, and all other ordina~ces or parts of ordinances <br />inconsistent herewith shall be and are hereby repe~ed. <br /> <br />Approved :~~~ <br /> / <br /> <br />'/~ ~ ~w~- Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
