PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR COPY OF <br />ORDINANCE GIVEN WITH DOCKET <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6-80 BY: <br /> <br />Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, <br />Wendling, Brown, Chinnock <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Section 149.20 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide allowance <br />of cost of transportation to City employees commencing February l, 1980. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the <br />interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is desirable to provide <br />an allowance of cost of transportation to employees of the City; now, there- <br />fore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 149.20 of the Administrative Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />149.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br /> <br />(a) Commencing August l, 1979, 'in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br />be paid the sum of eighty dollars (_580.00) per month to the <br />individual full-time employees holding the positions hereinafter <br />designated, and who are not furnished with City-owned vehicles for <br />use in the performance of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />(1) Buildi'ng Commission and Building Inspectors; <br />(2~ Visiting Nurses in the Division of Health; <br />(3) Sanitary Officers in the Division of Health; <br />(~) Sidewalk Inspectors, while devoting time to <br /> inspection of sidewalks, and <br />(]5) Health Commissioner in the Division of Health; <br />(6) Planning DirectOr; <br />(7) Outreach Workers (5) <br /> <br />(b) Commencing September 1, 1979, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br />be paid the sum of forty dollars ($40.00) per month to the individual <br />part-time employees and full-time employees holding the positions <br />hereinafter designated, and who are not furnished with City-owned <br />vehicles for use in the performance of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />(1) Home Health Aide - Part-time (1) <br />(2) Meter Readers - Full-time (4) (To be paid from Water Fund) <br /> <br />(%) Commenci'ng September 1, 1979, in additi'on to such salary or <br />compensatioh as may be provided by any other ordinance, there <br />shall be paid to those employees of the City, and volunteers of <br />Lakewood Office on Aging, who are required to use their personal <br />automobile in carrying out their duties on behalf of the City of <br />Lakewood, other than those City employees set forth in Section 1 <br />of this ordinance, a mileage allowance of $0~15 per mile; provided <br />however, that such personal car use shall be approved by the appro- <br />priate department head and provided further that, when applicable, <br />such allowance shall not exceed the cost of round trip coach air <br />fare for such trip° <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
