ORDINANCE NO. 28-80 <br /> <br />BY: Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the annual salary for the Fire <br />Chief in the Division o'f Fire effective January 1, 1980 and <br />repealing all other ordinances or parts of ordinances incon- <br />sistent herewith. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment in that in the interest of public service, welfare and <br />safety, it is necessary to fix the compensation of employees; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Subsection C of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 20-80 <br />relating to the annual salary of the position of Fire Chief now <br />reading as follows: <br /> <br />C. DIVISION OF FIRE <br /> <br />Not to <br />Exceed <br /> <br />Rank <br /> <br />Fi re Chief <br /> <br />25,000 - 31~,100 <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />C. DIVISION OF FIRE <br /> <br />Not to <br />Exceed <br /> <br />Rank <br /> <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />25,000 - 31,430 <br /> <br />Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; and all <br />other ordinance or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shall <br />be and are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> /PF~s i dent- <br />Y <br /> <br /> <br />
