ORDINANCE NO~ 35-80 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Salmon, Wendling AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor to enter into a lease agreement with Cardinal Federal Savings & Loan Association for property located at the southeast corner of Detroit and St. Charles AVenues ~n the City'of Lakewood, Ohio, which premises are more fully described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein to provide for off- street public parking for 5-year period commencing May l, 1980 and termin- ating on the last day of April, 1985. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the immeidate preservation of the public safety and welfare, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease agreement with Cardinal Fede.ral Savings & Loan Associa- tion for property located at the southeast corner of Detroit and St. Charles Avenues in the City of Lakewood, Ohio, which premises are more fully described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein to provide for off-street public parking for a 5-year period commencing May ~, 1980 and terminating on the last day of April, 1985. Said leas'e~s to be substantially in the form as set forth on Exhibit B attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully rewritten herein. ......... Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided .t receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise ~t shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
