ORDINANCE NO. 74-80 BY: Gallagher, Graham, Salmon, <br /> Wendl±nq, McBride, Brown~ <br /> Chinnock <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the City Engineer to advertise <br />for bids and ente~nto a contract with the lowest and best bidder for television <br />inspection, and cleaning where required, of various sewers in the City of Lakewood. <br /> WHEREAS, Council has de~ermined that repairs are needed in various <br /> storm and sanitary sewers in order to relieve existing basement flooding problems <br /> and to stop the deterioration of these sewers and the resultant worsening of <br /> these flooding problems, and <br /> WHEREAS, television inspection of~these'sewers is nececessary to <br /> determine the type of repairs which are required and the extent and the location <br /> of said repairs, and <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing For <br /> the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for <br /> the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest and <br /> best bidder after advertisement according to law for televisi6n inspection, <br /> and cleaning where required, of various storm and sanitary sewers in the City,- <br /> of Lakewood. <br /> Section 2. That the cost of this work is estimated at $9,500.00,' <br /> which funds are to be made available from the Community D~Velopment Block Grant <br /> Funds or from the Sewer and Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement Fund as appropriate. <br /> Section 3.
