ORDINANCE NO. 60-81 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Graham, McBride, Salmon, <br />Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE establishing rate charges for the Municipal <br />Parking Garages located in the City of Lakewood, revising and amending charges <br />previously established and repealing Ordinance 20-75 adopted March 3, 1975. <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Lakewood owns and operates two Municipal Parking <br />Garages which are open to the public and are managed and controlled as a <br />function of the Division of Streets, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, A study by the Finance Department and the Department of <br />Public Works discloses a need to revise the rate structure for both garages <br />due to increased costs of operation including debt service, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the rates for parking vehicles in the Lakewood <br />Municipal Parking Garages be and the same are hereby established as follows: <br /> <br />Garage #1 <br /> <br />First half hour or fraction thereof <br />Second half hour or fraction thereof <br />Each additional hour or fraction thereof <br />Maximum (.not to exceed 24 hours) <br />Nights (between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.) <br />Monthly pass <br /> <br />· 35 <br />· 35 <br />· 35 <br />3.00 <br />.50 <br />40.00 <br /> <br />Garage #2 <br /> <br />First hour or fraction thereof <br />Second hour or fraction thereof <br />Each additional hour or fraction thereof <br />Maximum (not to exceed 24 hours) <br />Monthly pass <br />Reserved Secti on <br /> <br />$ .35 <br />.35 <br />.35 <br />3.00 <br />30.00 <br />40.00 <br /> <br /> Section 2. That where parking is provided by Lakewood Hospital for <br />its employees and staff members, the rates for such parking shall be determined <br />by accounting procedures adopted by Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio and Medicare <br />based upon construction costs, annual depreciation and operating expenses. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and'provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor and Ordinance 20-75 adopted March 3, <br />by repealed at such time. <br /> <br />19~~~he~,4~same is here- <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
