OR~DINANCE NO. 94-81 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Paragraph (a) of Section 149~10 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relat- <br />ing to holidays for full time hourly employees and annual salaried employees <br />except members of the Division of Police and Fire. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAIHEO BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section t. That Section 149.10, Paragraph (a) of the Administrative Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of'the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />149.10 HOLIDAYS. <br /> <br />(a) Full-time permanent hourly employees and annual salaried <br />employees, except members of the Divisions of Police and Fire, <br />shall be granted holidays with regular time.pay, as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />President's Day <br /> <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Good Friday <br />Employee's Birthday <br />Day Personally Requested <br /> <br />However, <br />he works <br />work day <br /> <br />no employee shall be compensated for holiday pay unless <br />or is available for work on his full regularly scheduled <br />next preceding and next following the holiday. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />149.10 HOLIDAYS. <br /> <br />(a) Full-time permanent~hourly employees and annual salaried <br />employees, except members of the Division of Police and Fire, <br />shall be granted holidays with regular time pay, as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />President's Day <br /> <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Good Friday <br />Employee's Birthday <br />Day Personally Requested <br />D~ After Thanksgiving <br /> <br /> However, no employee shall be compensated for holiday pay unless <br /> he works or is available for work on his full scheduled work day <br /> next preceding and next following the holiday. <br /> <br />-. Day after Thanksgiving shall not appl'y-~-o-i'ndividuals working in <br /> the Refuse Department or Wastewater Treatment Plant, who will re- <br /> ceive an extra personal day. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this <br />Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, <br />were inmeetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
