OR~DINANCE NO. 94-81 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Paragraph (a) of Section 149~10 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relat- ing to holidays for full time hourly employees and annual salaried employees except members of the Division of Police and Fire. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAIHEO BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section t. That Section 149.10, Paragraph (a) of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of'the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: 149.10 HOLIDAYS. (a) Full-time permanent hourly employees and annual salaried employees, except members of the Divisions of Police and Fire, shall be granted holidays with regular time.pay, as follows: New Year's Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day President's Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Good Friday Employee's Birthday Day Personally Requested However, he works work day no employee shall be compensated for holiday pay unless or is available for work on his full regularly scheduled next preceding and next following the holiday. shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 149.10 HOLIDAYS. Day after Thanksgiving shall not appl'y-~-o-i'ndividuals working in the Refuse Department or Wastewater Treatment Plant, who will re- ceive an extra personal day. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were inmeetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
