QRDINANCE NO. 8-82 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Ga!lagher, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE creating a nee Special Assessment Fund to be known as <br />"The HouSing Rehabilitation Fund" and transferring the sum of <br />$125,~000,00! from the General Fund to said fund and hereby appropriating! <br />same. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Lakewood to maintain its exist- <br />ing high housing maintenance standards, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, so that the Building Department may enforce the dictates of <br />this Council with re§ard to rehabilitation, repair and demolition, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Finance Committee of this Council <br />that funds are hereby transferred; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1, The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed <br />to create a new Special Assessment Fund to be hereby known as The Housing <br />Rehabilitation Fund. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed <br />to transfer the sum of $125,000.00 from the unappropriated balance of the <br />General Fund to the newly created Housing Rehabilitation Fund. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the sum of $125,000.00 is now and hereby appropriated <br />from the Housing Rehabilitation Fund to be utilized for the purpose of <br />rehabilitating, renovating and/or demalishing housing stock which is here~ <br />by adjudged by ~ the Council of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, to be in <br />need of said renovation, rehabilitation and/or demolition. <br /> <br />Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations <br />of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal <br />requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />Section 5.
