ORDINANCE NO. 9-82 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter <br />into a contract with McDonnell Proudfoot & Associates, Inc. to do a traffic <br />study to determine traffic safety and operational improvements for McKinley <br />Avenue and to conduct an analysis of traffic patterns generated by Interstate 90. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain an analysis of traffic entering <br />the City from Interstate 90 at McKinley Avenue and travelling along local <br />streets, in order to determine traffic safety and possible solutions to any <br />unusual traffic problems being created thereby, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, ana welfare an~ <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and heis hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a contract with McDonnell Proudfoot & Associates, Inc., 5360 <br />Heatherdown Boulevard, Toledo, Ohio 43614, to do a traffic study to determine <br />traffic safety and operational improvements For McKinley Avenue and to conduct <br />an analysis of traffic patterns generated by Interstate 90 at or near McKinley <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to charge a sum not to exceed $2,500.00 to the State <br />Highway Fund to cover the cost of such traffic study. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this ouncil and of any of~ its committees that resulted in such formal action, <br />were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />take effect and be in force <br />Mayor, <br />Adopted:/~ f~/7~f~-- <br /> <br /> Section 4.
