ORDINANCE NO. 15-82 <br /> <br />By: Brown. Chinnock~ Grah~m~ MrR~ide, <br /> <br />Salmon. Wendli~g <br /> <br />An Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 10-82 <br />with respect to the aggregate principal <br />amount and maturity schedule of the Hospital <br />Improvement Revenue Bonds -- Series 1982 of <br />the City of Lakewood authorized by said <br />Ordinance No. 10-82, and to declare an emer- <br />gency. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council, by Ordinance No. 10-82 duly <br /> <br />adopted on February 16, 1982 (the "1982 Bond Ordinance"), <br /> <br />authorized the issUance of Hospital Improvement Revenue <br /> <br />Bonds -- Series 1982 (the <br />of Lakewood (the "Issuer") <br />of $23,750,000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the <br /> <br />"Series 1982 Bonds") of the City <br />in the aggregate principal amount <br /> <br />course of marketing the Series <br /> <br />1.982 Bonds, the underwriters and the Issuer determined that <br />it would enhance the marketability of the Series 1982 Bonds <br />and thereby benefit the Issuer if the maturity schedule for <br />the Series 1982 Bonds were altered to provide for a greater <br />principal amount of Series 1982 Bonds with serial maturities <br />and a lesser principal amount with term maturities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the marketing of the Series 1982 Bonds at <br />a rate of interest lower than the rate previously estimated <br />makes it feasible and desirable for the Issuer to red~ce the <br />aggregate principal amount of the Series 1982 Bonds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to amend the 1982 <br />Bond Ordinance to make it reflect and be consistent with <br /> <br />such a revised maturity schedule <br />amount; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance <br /> <br />and reduced principal <br /> <br />is legislation determined' <br /> <br />to be an emergency measure, the immediate passage of which <br /> <br /> <br />
