45-82 Declare 15608 Lake a nuisance - demolish

Section 2. That notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 1305 of the Building Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, this Council hereby authorizes the Building Commissioner to cause the residence~ 15608 Lake Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, to be demolished three days after notice of the adoption of the within ordinance has been served upon the ancillary adminis- trator with Will annexed of the estate of Vera L. Pettibone or ~as soon there- after as possible, Section 3. That the Building Commissioner is hereby authorize~ to enter into a contract for the demolition of the residence at 15608 Lake Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, provided the cost of said demolition is not in excess of $5,000. Section 4. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to serve a certified copy of the within ordinance upon John P. Seaman, Ancillary Administrator, W.W.A., of the Estate of Vera L. Pettibone, R.D. #1, Route #113, Monroeville, Ohio, 44847, pursuant to the provisions of Paragraph (d) of Section 1305.521 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. Section 5. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 6. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
