ORDINANCE NO. 51-82 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE establishing an Annual Office On Aging Vol- <br />unteer Recognition Dinner to recognize loyal and faithful service on the part <br />of volunteers assisting the operation of the Office On Aging of the Ci:ty of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, loyal and faithful service by volunteers in the Office On <br />Aging increases the efficiency of the operation of the Office on Aging and <br />establishes a substantial benefit to the community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such volunteer service should be recognized in a fitting and <br />proper manner as an expression of gratitude by the City of Lakewood on behalf <br />of the City of Lakewood to such volunteers, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That an Annual Office On Aging Volunteer Recognition <br />Dinner is hereby authorized and established to honor volunteers who have §iven <br />in excess of 200 volunteer hours in a given year to the Office On Aging and <br />authorizing further the award of a suitable service award pin or other momento <br />in recognition of such volunteers'service to the Office On Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost for the Annual Office On Aging Volunteer <br />Recognition Dinner authorized herein shall be charged to the Office on Aging <br />Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, <br />were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />take effect and be in force <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall <br />period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
