ORDINANCE NO. 64-82 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor for and on behalf of the <br />City of Lakewood to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood a 1981 Ford E350 <br />Super Cab to be used by the Office On Aging and donated by the Advisory Board <br />of the Office on Aging and the Nutrition Council of the Office on Aging. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Advisory Board of the Office On Aging and the Nutrition <br />Council of the Office on Aging, through donations and monies raised through <br />senior projects has accumulated sufficient funds to purchase a 1981 Ford E350 <br />Super Cab and are desirous of donating same to the City of Lakewood to be used <br />by the Office On Aging, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Office On Aging is in need of such a motor vehicle in <br />order to better serve the senior citizens of the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is in the best of the City <br />to accept said 1981 Ford E350 Super Cab, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to accept <br />as a gift to the City of Lakewood, a 1981 Ford E350 Super Cab to be used by the <br />Office On Aging and donated to the City by the Advisory Board of the Office On <br />Aging and the Nutrition Council of the Office On Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shal.1 <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest <br /> <br />period allowed by law. <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />L~LERK <br /> <br />Approved ? <br /> <br /> <br />
