ORDINANCE NO. 89-82 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling A EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept, annually, a gift in the amount of $5,200 to the City of Lakewood donated by the LakeWood Office on Aging Advisory Board to be used to hire one additional part-time home health aide for the Office On Aging. WHEREAS, the Lakewood Office on Aging Advisory Board h6.s voted to recommend an annual gift of $5,200 be given to the City in order ~o hire one additional part-time home health aide for the Office On Aging, and WHEREAS, the services of an additional home health aide are much needed by the Office On Aging, and WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is in the best interest of the City to accept the gift of $5,200 annually to hire the additional part-time home health aide, and WHEREAS, this ordinance consitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to accept annually as a gift to the City of Lakewood, the sum of $5,200 to be donated to the City by the Advisory Board of the Lakewood Office On Aging and to use said funds to hire one additional part-time home health aide for the Office On Aging. Section 2. That the sum of $5,200 received annually by the City shall be credited to the Office On Aging Fund IIIB. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council conerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance Kith all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immedately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
