ORDINANCE NO. 89-82 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> A EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the <br />City of Lakewood, to accept, annually, a gift in the amount of $5,200 to the <br />City of Lakewood donated by the LakeWood Office on Aging Advisory Board to be <br />used to hire one additional part-time home health aide for the Office On Aging. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Office on Aging Advisory Board h6.s voted to <br />recommend an annual gift of $5,200 be given to the City in order ~o hire one <br />additional part-time home health aide for the Office On Aging, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the services of an additional home health aide are much <br />needed by the Office On Aging, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is in the best interest of <br />the City to accept the gift of $5,200 annually to hire the additional part-time <br />home health aide, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance consitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to accept <br />annually as a gift to the City of Lakewood, the sum of $5,200 to be donated to <br />the City by the Advisory Board of the Lakewood Office On Aging and to use said <br />funds to hire one additional part-time home health aide for the Office On Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the sum of $5,200 received annually by the City shall <br />be credited to the Office On Aging Fund IIIB. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council conerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance Kith all legal requirements including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immedately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br />otherwise it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed <br />by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
