ORDINANCE NO. 7-83 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wenlding <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 351.17 of the Traffic Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to the parking of <br />recreational equipement, effective February 12, 1983. <br /> WHEREAS, on January 3, 1983, this Council adopted a new Zoning Code, and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 351.17 of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances <br />relating to the parking of commercial vehicles and recreational equipment, makes <br />reference to Section 1126.01 of the Zoning Code which is now referenced as <br />Section of the new Zoning Code, and <br /> <br />refer to <br />February <br /> <br />immediate <br />operation <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 351.17 should be amended to correctly reflect and <br /> the Section of the new Zoning Code at the time it becomes effective on <br /> 12, 1983, and <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br /> preservation of the public safety and welfare and for the usual daily <br /> of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That Section 351.17 of the Traffic Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows~ <br /> <br /> 351.17 PARKING COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT <br /> <br /> (a) No person shall park a school bus, commercial tractor, agri- <br /> culture tractor, truck, bus, a vehicle originally manufactured <br /> and/or designed as a bus, trailer, semi-trailer, pole trailer, <br /> moving van, ambulance or hearse, or other than recreational equip- <br /> ment as defined in Section 1126.01 of the Zoning Code, for a <br /> period in excess of one hour on any street any time within the <br /> City, except when loading or unloading such vehicle. <br /> <br /> (b) No person shall park recreational equipment as defined in <br /> Section 1126.01 of the Zoning Code, on any street or highway <br /> within the City for a period in excess of six consecutive hours. <br /> <br /> shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 351.17 PARKING COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />(a) No person shall park a school bus, commercial tractor, agri- <br />culture tractor, truck, bus, a vehicle originally manufactured <br />and/or designed as a bus, trailer, semi-trailer, pole trailer, <br />moving van, ambulance or hearse, or other than recreational equip- <br />ment as defined in Section 1123.01 of the Zoning Code, for a <br />period in excess of one hour on any street any time within the <br />City, except when loading or unloading such vehicle. <br /> <br />(b) No person shall park recreational equipment as defined in <br />Section 1123.01 of the Zoning Code, on any street or highway <br />within the City for a period in excess of six consecutive hours. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passa9e of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
