ORDINANCE NO. 119-83 <br /> <br />BY: ~Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to additionally appropriate funds from the <br />City's General Fund', Street Construction Maintenance & Repair Fund, Community <br />Development Block Grant Fund, Litter Control ~und, Office On Aging Fund, Water <br />Fund, Sewer Operating Fund and Parking FaCilities Fund, for the purpose of <br />paying Blue Cross Health Insurances increases. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City'has been notified that an increase of approximate- <br />ly 17% has ocCurred in the City's Blue Cross health insurance premiums, and <br /> WHEREAS, because of various City union contracts and agreements, it <br /> is necessary that these premiums be paid, and <br /> WHEREAS, these additional premiums were not anticipated during the <br /> 1983 budget process; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, CUYAHOGA <br /> COUNTY, OHIO: <br /> Section 1. Council of the City of Lakewood hereby authorizes <br /> and directs the Director of Finance to additionally appropriate from the un- <br /> appropriated balance of the following funds as follows: <br /> <br /> General Fund ........... $41,044.85 <br /> Construction Maintenance & Repai~ ~U~d] · 4,436.50 <br /> <br />Community Development Fund ........ <br />Office on Aging Fund ........... <br />Litter COntrol Fund ........... <br />Water Fund ................ <br />Sewer Operating Fund ........... <br />Parking FaCilities Fund ......... <br /> <br />844.85 <br />2,166.85 <br />656.10 <br />1,829.55 <br />3,930.70 <br />386.30 <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations <br />of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal ac- <br />tion, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal <br />requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it'shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />C~ERK' <br /> <br /> <br />
