ORDINANCE NO. 18-83 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> MCBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.112 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide a perfect at- <br />tendance bonus for annual salaried employees effective April 1, 1983. <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That Section 149.112 of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br /> 149.112 PERFECT ATTENDANCE BONUS. <br /> <br /> Effective January l, 1981, all Formen Class A employees of the <br /> City of Lakewood who complete a quarter of a year with perfect <br /> attendance (January 1 to March 31; April 1 to June 30; July 1 <br /> to September 30; October 1 to December 31 - no days absent for <br /> any reason whatsoever) shall be entitled to receive a bonus of <br /> one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each quarter no absence is <br /> recorded. Vacations, holidays, funeral leave, military leave, <br /> and jury duty/witness leave shall not be counted as days absent. <br /> Personal leave, sick leave and sick leave without pay shall be <br /> counted as days absent. <br /> <br /> shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />149.112 PERFECT ATTENDANCE BONUS. <br /> <br />Effective April 1, 1983, all annual salaried employees including <br />Foremen Class A employees and the Chiefs of the Divisions of Police & <br />Fire, but excluding all other members of the Divisions of Police & <br /> <br />Fire, and full-time permanent hourly employees not covered by a collective <br />bargaining agreement with the City, who complete a quarter of a year with <br /> <br />perfect attendance (Jan. 1 to March 31; Apr. I to June 30; July 1 to Sept. <br />October 1 to December 31 - no days absent for any reason what- <br />soever) shall be entitled to receive a bonus of one hundred dollars <br />($100.00) for each quarter no absence is recorded. Vacations, <br />holidays, funeral leave, military leave, and jury duty/witness <br />leave shall not be counted as days absent. Personal leave, sick <br />leave and sick leave without pay shall be counted as days absent. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meetin9 of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force from and after April 1, 1983, and existing Paragraph 149.112 <br />adopted March 26, 1981 shall be and the same is hereby repealed at such time. <br /> <br />Approved:/~ ~//f <br /> <br />30; <br /> <br /> <br />
