ORDINANCE NO. 28-83 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Galla§her, Graham, <br /> Salmon~ Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the compensation of the Clerk of <br />the Lakewood Municipal Court, the time and method of payment <br />thereof and repe~ling Ordinance No. 25-81 adopted March 27~ 1981. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal. Court Act, Revised Code Section 1901,31 <br />provides that the legislative authority of this municipality shall <br />fix the annual salary of the Clerk of Courts, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Act further provides that the compensation of the <br />Clerk shall be paid three-fifths from the City Treasury and two- <br />fifths from the Treasury of the County in which the City is located, <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providlng <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that <br />in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is <br />necessary to fix the compensation of the Clerk and direct the time <br />and method of payment thereof, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF 0HIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the compensation of the Clerk of the Lakewood <br />Municipal Court is hereby fixed at $32~130.00 per annum effective <br />March 1, 1983, <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood <br />is hereby authorized and directed to pay three-fifths of the <br />compensation of the Clerk as herein fixed, from the City Treasury <br />in semi-monthly installments or in equal installments every two <br />weeks. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 25-81 <br />adopted March 27, 1981 and all other ordinances or parts of <br />ordinances inconsistent herewith, shall be and hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> · ' -''Vice Pre~s~d6nt ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
