ORDINANCE NO. 31-83 <br /> <br />By:Brown, CHinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor and Director of Economic & <br />Community Development to enter into a contract with the Regional Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received from the U. S. Department of <br />the Interior a grant in the amount of $10,000, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Commission has completed prior studies <br />relevant to the Urban Parks Grant and the City of Lakewood's Recovery <br />Action Program, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the public health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor and Director of Economic & Community Develop- <br />ment are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />the Regional Planning Commission for completion of an efficiency and <br />effectiveness study to allow the Lakewood Board of Education to reduce <br />costs of recreation maintenance by using various compUterization tech- <br />niques. <br /> <br />Section 2. 'It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in ~n open meeting of this Council, and that all said delibera- <br />tions of this Council and that of any of its committees that resulted in <br />such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in accordance <br />with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor, otherwise it shall take effect and <br />be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved.' / <br /> <br />(/ - ' ' Cledk -- ' <br /> <br /> <br />
