ORDINANCE NO. 106-84 <br /> <br />Brown, Chinnock, Graham~ <br />McBride, Salmon, Wendli~ <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to levy special assessments for the improvement <br />of certain streets in the City of Lakewood, Ohio, between certain termini <br />by the necessary grading and replacement of the base, resurfacing with <br />asphaltic concrete including the necessary replacement and resetting of <br />castings together with the necessary appurtenances thereto. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by two-thirds vote of the members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure which is necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health <br />and safety and for the further reason that the assessments herein pro- <br />vided for must be promptly levied in order to eliminate additional inter- <br />est expense to the City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That each owner of a lot or parcel of land to be assessed <br />has been given an opportunity to pay the total assessment against each <br />lot or parcel of land in cash within thirty (30) days after notice of <br />such opportunity and all such assessments not now so paid shall be paid <br />in ten (10) semiannual installments with the interest at the same rate <br />as shall be borne by the bonds to be issued in anticipation of the col- <br />lection of the same. All assessments and installments thereof now remain- <br />ing unpaid shall be certified by the Director of Finance to the County <br /> <br /> <br />
