C~II~ NO. 26-84 ~: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> ~ ~ C~D~ to amend ~9:ic~ 1321.07 of ~ ~il~ ~e of <br />~e ~ifi~ ~di~ of t~ City of ~~ relating to ~ re~tion or <br />di~~l ~ li~ ~ ~rici~s, ~ti~ ~/~ ~r ~iti~ or <br />Pl~i~ ~tra~ors, <br /> <br /> WHF2FA~, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of <br />Lakewood that the failure of contractors to abate violations within the time <br />specified in the written notice of violation should be grounds for revocation <br />of the contractors license to practice within the City of iakewood, <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, <br />the immediate <br />therefore, <br /> <br />this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />preservation of the public health, safety and welfare ncw, <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1321.07 of of the Building Gode of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />1321.07 ~IC[q CR DISAPPROVAL OF LICENSE <br /> <br /> The Building C~,,issioner may disapprove or revoke any license or <br />renewal thereof issued under the provisicm~s of this chapter for one or <br />several of the following reasons: <br /> (a) Misrepresentation of a material fact by the applicant in obtaining <br />the license or renewal thereof. <br /> (b) The use of the license by the licensee in obtaining a building <br />permit for work to be performed by a contractor Or builder other than the <br />licensee. <br /> (c) Violation of Or noncompliance with any provision of any applicable <br />Osde or OrdiD~ance of the City in the performance of any work done pursuant to <br />a license issued hereunder. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />1321.07 REVOCATIC~q CR DISAPPIK)VAL OF LICf~X~E <br /> <br />The Building Cc~..,issioner may disapprove or revoke any license or <br />renewal thereof issued under tl~e provisions of this chapter for one or <br />'several of the following reascns: <br /> (a) Misrepresentation of a material fact by the applicant in obtaining <br />the license or renewal thereof. <br /> (b) The use of the license by the licensee in obtaining a building <br />permit for work to be performed by a contractor Or builder other than the <br />licensee. <br /> (c) Violation of or noncompliance with any provision of any applicable <br />Code or Ordinance of the City in the performance of any work done pursuant to <br />a license issued hereunder. <br /> (d) Failure to abate a violation or noncompliance with any provision <br />of any applica_ble code or ordinance of the City of ?~kewood within the time <br />specified in the written notice of such violation or noncompliance. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Gouncil concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this ODuncil, and that all such deliberations of this <br />Council and of any of its oAm-,ittees that resulted in such formal action were <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the (~hio Revised Code. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
