ORDINANCE NO. 40-84 BY: Brown, Chi~nock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon.~.~endling <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 1115.02 of the~.~Zo,~.!Qg~.O~ of the Codi- <br />fied Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to permit child day-care centers as a <br />permitted principal use in use classification Office District (B1). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that there is a growing need for <br />child day-care center, and in conformance with the stated purpose of the Zoning <br />Code, it is in the best interest of the City to permit licensed child day-care <br />centers as a permitted principal use in the Office District (B1) use classifica- <br />tion of the Zoning Code; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1115.02 of the Zoning Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />1115.02 PERMITTED PRINCIPAL USES <br /> <br /> In a B1 District, no building or premises shall be us- <br />ed or established which is designed, arranged or intended <br />for other than the following: <br /> <br /> (al Office buildings; <br />.(b) Banks, savings and loan offices and telephone ex- <br /> change; <br />(c) Barber shops and beauty shops. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />1115.02 PERMITTED PRINCIPAL USES <br /> <br /> In a B1 District, no building or premises shall be us- <br />ed or established which is designed, arranged or intended <br />for other than the following: <br /> <br />(al Office buildings~ <br />(b) Banks, savings and loan offices and telephone ex- <br /> change; <br />(c) Barber shops and beauty shops. <br />{d) Child day-care centers licensed pursuant to Chap- <br /> ter 5104 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its con~nittees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
