Section 2. Salary of the Director of Law shall cover all ordinary <br />'servi~e including legal advice and opinion as requested by the Council or any <br /> individual member of Council, the Mayor ~nd directors of departments, the <br /> drafting of ordinances and resolutions, attendance at Council meetings, and the <br /> administration and supervision of the Law Department. The Law Director and the <br /> Assistant Law Director shall receive as additional compensation, professional <br /> fees for the handling of any litigation involving the City of Lakewood, or other <br /> extraordinary services, such fees not to exceed $60.00 per hour. <br /> <br /> Section 3. All compensation provided for herein shall be paid in <br />equal installments every two weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 4. All annual salaried employees, including the Chief of <br />Police and the Chief of Fire, shall be entitled to compensable time off for <br />actual hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours <br />per week, and for work performed on Saturday, Sunday and any holiday as defined <br />in Section 149.10. This Section does not apply to Foremen - Class A - Public <br />Works Department, whose overtime compensation is covered pursuant to Section 5 <br />herein. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Foremen - Class A shall receive time and one-half of their <br />regular pay for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) <br />hours per week. Foremen Class A shall receive time and one-half for all hours <br />worked on Saturday, Sunday, or any holiday, as defined in Section 149.10. <br /> <br /> Section 6. Foremen - Class A who work for four (4) hours or more as <br />part of a regular shift assignment with the Refuse Department shall receive a <br />shift premium of 15¢ per hour for all hours worked during the second shift (3:30 <br />p.m. to 12:00 midnight); and 20¢ per hour for all hours worked during the third <br />shift (12:01 midnight to 8:30 a.m.). In the event a Class A Foreman is temporarily <br />transferred from his regular day shift to assignment to another shift for the <br />purpose of emergency snowplowing, he shall receive a premium pay of 50¢ per hour <br />for every hour worked up to eight (8) hours. <br /> <br /> Section 7. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 8. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law;and Ordinance 10-83 adopted March 21, 1982, and all other ordinances <br />or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shall be and the same are hereby <br />repealed at such time. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ 0~, I? ~/ <br /> <br />ESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved~ ~, ! ~F <br /> <br /> <br />
