<br />ORDINANCE NO. 84"85 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Graham, McBride, Salmon <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor for and on <br />behalf_of the Cit~ of Lakewood to enter into a Lease Agreement with <br />Cardinal Federal Sivings Bank for the premtses at the Southeast corner <br />of St. Charles Avenue and Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio for the <br />purpose of off-street parking. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the premises located at the Southeast corner of St. <br />Charles Avenue and Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, is owned by Cardinal <br />Federal Savings Bank, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the present pUDlic parking facilities of the City <br />of Lakewood are limited and a lease of said premises would assure' its <br />continuation of adequate off-street parking and permit the City of <br />Lakewood to better serve its constituants. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is in the Dest <br />interest of the City to lease said premises from Cardinal Federal <br />Savings Bank effective July 1, 1985, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public safety and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />OF OHIO, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor for and on Dehalf of the City is <br />hereby authori zed and di rected to enter into a fi ve.:.year term Lease <br />Agreement with Cardinal Federal Savings Bank for the Southeast corner <br />of St. Charles Avenue and Detroit Avenue, Lakewood. Ohio, for~___the <br />purpose of off-street parking effective July 1, 1985, said lease to De <br />sUDstantially in the form of the Lease A9reement attached hereto as <br />"Exhibit An and made a part hereof as if fully re-written herein. <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined. that all forma] <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in~ such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all legal requirements íncluding Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code <br /> <br />Section 3.
