ORDINANCE NO. 106-86 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gal lagher, <br />Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor for and on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood .to enter into a contract with the Tom <br />Paige Catering Company to provide meals to the residents of the <br />Assisted Living Facility known as the South Westerly Apartments. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the management of the Assisted Living complex known <br />as the South Westerly Apartments situated in the City of Lakewood has <br />terminated the meals served to the residents of said apartments for <br />sundry reasons, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines it to be in the public <br />interest that the City should continue to see that the residents of <br />the aforementioned Assisted Living complex continue to receive said <br />meals in the interest of the public welfare, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Tom Paige Catering Company has offered to <br />contract to provide meals to the residents of the South Westerly <br />Apartments at a cost of $1.97 per meal, which cost is hereby <br />determined to be fair and reasonable, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitues an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to enter into a contract <br />with the Tom Paige Catering Company, 2275 East 55th Street, Cleveland, <br />Ohio, 44103, to provide meals to the residents of the South Westerly <br />Apartments, said contract to be substantially in the form of Exhibit <br />"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully rewritten <br />herein. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
