ORDINANCE NO.: 51-86 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE exempting the Regional Transit Authority from the prohibitions of Section 901.18 of the Streets and Public Service Code of the Codified Ordinance of the City of Lakewood in order to permit the placement and/or construction of nine (9) addition- al bus shelters at designated locations. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure provid- ing fm the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHI.O: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood hereby exempts the Regional Transit Authority from the prohibitions of Section 901.18 of the Streets and Public Service Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood in order to allow for the construction and/or placement of nine (9) additional bus shelters as specified by shelter type, pursuant to design graphics attached hereto, at the following locations provided that the conditions and the permit procedure requirements, as specified in Section 2 of the Ordinance No. 83-78, adopted October 5, 1978, are met: TYPE REPLACEMENT OR NEW LOCATION S Replacement S Replacement M Replacement S N6w XS New XS New XS New XS New S New Madison/Lincoln (eastbound) Clifton/French (eastbound) Clifton/Warren (eastbound) Edgewater/Cove (eastbound) Warren/Madison (southbound) Detroit/Cordova (eastbound) W. ll7th/Clifton (eastbound) Madison/Wagar (eastbound) Delaware/Woodward (eastbound) Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for' the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected tc Cc. uncil, it shall tak£ effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
