ORDINAl!CE NO. 64-86 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Ch~nnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br />Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN E}~RGENCY OPDINANCE to amend Section 905.19 of the <br />Streets and Public Services Code of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of Lakewood, Ohio, to provide for the use of the lake- <br />front property of Lakewood Park by the public. <br /> <br />I.~EREAS, on June 2, 1986, the new fishing pier at <br />Lake~od Park will be dedicated and the area of Lakewood Park <br />north of the existing fence will be open to the public and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 905.19 of the Streets and Public <br />Services Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, <br />Ohio now declares the lakefront property of Lakewood Park north <br />of the existing fence to be closed to the public and, <br /> <br /> I,.~EREAS, in view of the change of use of the lakefront <br />property of Lakewood Park ~north of the existing fence, Section <br />905.19 should be amended to conform to the new anticipated use <br />and, <br /> <br />!~HFREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety and welfare, and for the usual daily operation of a munici- <br />pal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> ~ IT ORDAINE~ BY THE COIINCI!., OF THE CITY OF LAKE!'7OOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 905.19 of the Streets and <br />Public Services Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lake~od, Ohio, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 905.19 Lakewood Park Lakefront <br /> <br /> The lakefront of Lakewood Park north of the <br />existing fence is hereby declared to be closed to <br />the public and to all persons.~ No person shall be <br />upon such lakefront. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 905.19 Lakewood Park Lakefront <br /> <br />(a) The lakefront of Lakewood Park north of the <br />existing fence shall be open to the public for use <br />in accordance with such rules and regulations as <br />may be established by the Superintendent of~'Parks. <br /> <br />(b) No person shall enter any area and/or be <br />upon any property situated north of the existing <br />fence in Lake%ood Park which is designated and <br />posted as being a prohibited area or property. <br /> <br />(c) No person shall enter into, or remain in, <br />the waters of Lake Erie, situated between the East- <br />West boundary of Lakewood Park for any purpose what- <br />soever. <br /> <br /> <br />
